Madison Tree & Landscape

About Madison Tree & Landscape

Snow does not fall straight down on the Darby Plains; it comes sideways, driven across open Madison County fields until it piles against the fencerows and reaches over the old National Road. Madison Tree & Landscape works those hours, plowing driveways and lots west of Columbus while West Jefferson is still dark and the grain elevator is only a shape against the sky. Salt goes down on the walks so the first person out the door in the morning steps onto bare concrete. There is a plain satisfaction in a lot opened up square to its corners, banks pushed back where they will not blow in again by noon. When the wind finally lies down, the work stands in clean lines from curb to door.
