Bartish Farms Landscape

About Bartish Farms Landscape

Out where the fields open west of Wellington there is nothing at all to slow the wind, and a January squall can pack a farm lane shut in an hour while the county road beside it stays black. Bartish Farms Landscape works that kind of snow, plowing drives and lots, cutting through the drifts that build along the fencerows, shoveling walks and steps by hand, and salting so the refreeze at dusk has nothing to grab. Open country teaches the trick early: push the snow where the next storm cannot simply hand it straight back to you. There is a particular pleasure in a long lane opened end to end while the sky is still dark and the first light is only a gray line over the stubble. In Wellington the winter is honest about what it wants, and the answer is to be out ahead of it.
