About Ohio Green Works

The old railbed through Waynesville is a bike trail now, straight and quiet, and in December it fills with freezing fog well before sunrise. That is the hour Ohio Green Works is already moving — plow trucks on driveways and lots, shovels on porches and sidewalks, salt down before the ice can set. Snow in this part of Ohio does not always commit: it comes as slush, then a hard freeze, then a glaze that catches people out. Staying ahead of that sequence is most of the craft. By the time the village is awake the pavement is bare and dark and nothing about the day has to change.
