Stone Cuts

About Stone Cuts

September evening above the river, light going long and orange across the hills, and a freshly cut yard holding its lines like corduroy. Stone Cuts mows, trims and edges through Waterford township and the Washington County villages beside it, then clears the leaves once the ridges turn color. The name is the work: clean cuts, straight rows, a crisp edge where grass stops and concrete starts. There is no trick to it beyond showing up on the week and taking the extra five minutes at the end. Yards remember which ones got that.
