Pristine Snowplowing

About Pristine Snowplowing

Most of what falls on Warren begins forty miles north over open water and arrives in long grey bands that never ask permission. Pristine Snowplowing meets it at three in the morning, when Mahoning Avenue is nothing but sodium light and powder moving sideways. A plow route is partly a memory exercise — which lot drains where, which apron hides a lip of curb, which drive has to be open before the first shift leaves the house. The blade goes down, the banks get pushed where they won't drift back across the work, and the de-icer goes down thin and even. By daylight the pavement is black and wet and everybody's morning starts on time. Plowing, salting and clearing for drives and lots around Warren.
