About Green Meadows Ltd

February on the Blacklick-Eastern side of the township is flat light and open ground, and the wind will take a dusting off a bare field and lay it across a driveway three times before noon. Drifting like that is a different problem than snowfall, and it wants somebody who will come back. We plow drives and lots, push the piles clear of the approaches, shovel walks down to the surface, and salt where the melt keeps refreezing after dark. There is a plain satisfaction in the moment the blade reaches pavement and the drive turns black in one clean pass. Cold country, open sky, and a route we run until the last storm gives up.
