About WiseGuys Lawn & Landscape

Morning comes early to the Old West End, where the maples lean out over the brick and the first mower of the day sounds like the street clearing its throat. WiseGuys Lawn & Landscape works these Toledo blocks and the flat, generous ground the old Black Swamp left behind — soil that grows grass in a hurry and rewards a steady hand on the blade. Mowing, edging, trimming, bed shaping and mulch: the work is simple to name and deeply satisfying to see, a crisp line where lawn meets walk that holds all the way to the curb. By afternoon the light coming off the Maumee has climbed the porch rails, and the yard looks like somebody loves it, because somebody does. There is a plain joy in a stripe laid straight down a Toledo lawn and a clean sweep left behind on the drive.
