About Dr. Earth’s Lawn Surgeons

Every spring the Maumee comes up brown and fast, carrying half the county's topsoil past Toledo on its way to the lake, and the yards left behind still have to be coaxed back to green. Dr. Earth's Lawn Surgeons works both sides of that calendar — mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups while things are growing, plowing and clearing walks when they are not. The name suggests a certain attention, and the work bears it out: what a lawn needs is rarely mysterious, only easy to put off. Sharp lines in July, open pavement in January, and a property that never looks neglected in between. In a city this flat, a well-kept yard carries a long way down the block.
