About Henderson Lawn & Landscape

Swanton sits where flat farm country runs up against the sand ridges of the Oak Openings, and on a July evening the light comes low and long across both. Henderson Lawn & Landscape works those yards — mowing, edging, trimming and carrying off the clippings — from the village streets out to where the last lawn ends and the oaks begin. Sandy ground and open wind make their own demands, and the answer is a cut set at the right height and finished with a line that follows the walk exactly. The last pass at dusk is the one worth staying for, rows running straight toward the horizon with nothing but field beyond them. It is plain work, repeated, and it keeps a street looking like somebody is paying attention.
