Higgins Lawn Care

About Higgins Lawn Care

Summerford is a handful of houses strung along the old National Road, set in the flat prairie ground of Madison County where the horizon is grain bins and a far-off treeline. Higgins Lawn Care runs the yards out this way — mowing, trimming around posts and porches, edging walks and drives, the beds cleaned out in April and the leaves gathered in November. Prairie soil holds its water, so a lawn here comes on strong in May and needs a firm weekly hand to stay even. On a straight lot with nothing to hide behind the cut lines are the finished product, and they get laid down straight on purpose. Route 40 traffic goes by all day, and a yard kept sharp is what makes somebody slow for a second look.
