Landscaping and Snow Removal

About Landscaping and Snow Removal

Midnight, mid-January, the lights along Route 14 lit up with falling snow and nobody out but the plows. Landscaping and Snow Removal takes the winter shift in Streetsboro — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways, shoveling steps, applying salt against the refreeze that follows a Portage County thaw. Snow here can come sideways for hours or fall straight and quiet all night; either way it has to be moved before daylight. There is real pleasure in the finished pass: black pavement, clean banks, a path to the door. Then the truck heads for the next address, and the town wakes up able to get where it is going.
