Fleming's Landscape

About Fleming's Landscape

The snow that matters in Stow usually arrives from the northwest, off Lake Erie, in bands that thicken over Summit County and let go all at once. Fleming's Landscape watches for that and answers it with plows, shovels and salt — driveways, walks and lots opened up while the sky is still low and white. A squall can bury an afternoon's work in an hour, which is why a route gets run more than once. The best part of the job is the moment a car backs out easy onto a strip of concrete that was impassable at midnight. Winter here is long, and it gets handled one driveway at a time.
