Coen Landscapes

About Coen Landscapes

Historic Fort Steuben sits on the bluff where this whole town began, looking out over a bend of the Ohio that has been carrying barges past for as long as anyone can count. Coen Landscapes keeps time with the full circle of the year in that same view: mowing, trimming, and edging from the first warm week of April through the last leaf-drop of November, then plowing and salting whatever winter sends down the valley. Grass here grows fast in a wet June and snow here arrives without much warning, so both halves of the calendar demand the same thing — showing up when the property needs it. There is a real satisfaction in a lawn cut straight to its borders, and another kind entirely in a drive scraped bare while the sky is still dark. Same properties, same hands, twelve months around.
