About Affordable Tree Services

Steubenville climbs straight up from the Ohio River, and the trees climb with it — hillside yards, stair-step streets, hardwoods rooted at angles nobody would plant on purpose. Affordable Tree Services makes its living on that pitch: rigging a removal down a slope where no truck can follow, trimming crowns back off a house built into the bank, pruning what can be kept instead of taking the whole thing. After the wind comes up the valley and lays half a silver maple across a driveway, the storm damage work is a matter of getting there and getting it open. There is a plain pride in the finish — the wood gone, the porch steps clear, the hillside yard put back in order. From the top of the hill on an October afternoon the river bends away, and the crowns over town stand in good order, one lot at a time.
