Brent's Snowplowing & Lawncare

About Brent's Snowplowing & Lawncare

The land out here lies flat enough that a January wind crossing the fields will pack a driveway shut hours after the sky has cleared. Brent's Snowplowing & Lawncare runs against that — plowing out drives and parking areas, cutting a walk to the door, salting the ice that forms where meltwater runs back over the concrete at dusk. Come April the same ground greens up fast along the St. Joseph River bottoms, and the work turns to mowing, trimming and carrying off whatever winter left in the fence line. There is a particular good feeling in a lane opened before the first car needs it, and in the May cut that makes a place look awake again. The same properties, two seasons, one steady rotation around them.
