About DNElandscape

Spring rain moves through this township in long gray sheets, filling the creek bottoms, darkening the walnut trees in the fencerows, and setting every lawn in the county growing at once. DNElandscape meets that surge head-on — mowing, trimming, edging, bed work and cleanups for yards from the creek flats up to the open hayground. Grass after a rain has a color it only keeps for a day or two, and a lawn cut into that color holds a shine no photograph quite catches. Beds edged by hand, clippings blown off the drive, nothing left behind but the smell of it. Alexandria, Granville and the roads that run between them fill the week nicely.
