About Kramers Lawn & Landscaping

Early June in Springfield, and the dew holds on the north side of a yard long after the rest has burned off. Kramers Lawn & Landscaping works those mornings, the mower laying down its stripes while the ground still smells of the creek bottoms along Buck Creek. Lawn care here means reading a yard's slopes and shade before the first pass, then cutting it clean and true. The line where turf meets the walk gets its own attention — trimmed close, blown off, left sharp. There is a plain pleasure in looking back at a finished yard, and this is a crew that takes it.
