Walton’s Cutting Crew

About Walton’s Cutting Crew

A Saturday morning near the Venice Heights end of town sounds like engines and birds going at once. Walton's Cutting Crew moves through it in order — mow, trim, edge, blow the walks — with the kind of rhythm that only comes of running a route in the same sequence every week. Sandusky grass grows on lake time, slow through a cool May and headlong after a warm rain. Leaving a yard cut level, bordered clean and swept off is the whole point of the morning. The crew covers Sandusky and the communities close by.
