About Brightscape Enterprises

The Rocky River cut its valley down through shale, and the Metroparks reservation that follows it gives this town its green spine and its sycamores. Brightscape Enterprises works the yards up on the rim: mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups through the growing season, then plowing, shoveling and salting once Lake Erie starts throwing snow inland. A lawn on the west side of Cleveland has to take lake wind, heavy clay and a short shoulder season, so steadiness beats heroics every time. There is genuine pleasure in a June yard cut to a single height with the border knifed in along the walk. And a different pleasure at four in the morning in February, standing back from a drive that is clear to the pavement while the sky is still full of snow.
