About Fertile Foundations

East of Riverside the ground opens into old prairie flatland, and the wind crosses it with nothing at all to lean on before it reaches these streets. Fertile Foundations works both ends of that weather. Through the growing months it is mowing, trimming, edging and hauling away what the season drops; once the thermometer gives up, it is plowing drives and lots and clearing walks down to bare pavement. Storms in the Miami Valley have a habit of starting as rain and finishing as ice around three in the morning, which is why the clearing happens ahead of the first commute instead of after it. Two very different kinds of work, one idea behind them: a property should look and move like somebody is paying attention to it.
