Cory’s Lawn Service

About Cory’s Lawn Service

Winter arrives in Risingsun sideways. There is nothing between these Wood County fields and the wind but a fencerow and a hope, so snow does not fall so much as travel, filling a drive an hour after it was cleared. Cory's Lawn Service is out ahead of sunrise for exactly that reason — plowing the drive, opening the walk to the door, putting down salt where the ice glazes hard and blue. Come summer the same roads run green to the horizon and the work turns to mowing, trimming and end-of-year cleanups. Flat country gives a lawn nowhere to hide; every edge shows, so every edge gets cut straight.
