Maners Lawn Care

About Maners Lawn Care

Out in Ripley township the day starts with dew — a heavy silver film on everything, burning off the low ground last. Maners Lawn Care times the week around it, waiting for the grass to dry before the first pass, then working the yards where lawn gives way to hayfield and fencerow. Mowing, string trimming around posts and outbuildings, edging the walk and the drive, and hauling off what autumn drops: it is plain work done carefully. By August, when the heat sits still over the bottomland, a cut lawn is the coolest-looking thing on the road. Neighbors notice where the mowing stops and the field begins, and drawing that boundary well is most of the job.
