Grass 'n' Gardens

About Grass 'n' Gardens

From the ridge at O'Neil Woods you can see how Bath Township is put together — a green shelf of yards and fields that runs right up to the lip of the Cuyahoga valley. Grass 'n' Gardens keeps its share of that shelf trimmed through the long humid stretch of July, when turf gains an inch between visits and the beds want weeding twice. Mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup fill most weeks; the rest is the small tending that keeps a garden bed from vanishing into the lawn. The deck goes up a notch in the hot weeks, because grass left a little length holds its color when the rain quits. By evening the lines are laid, the walks are clear, and the yard cools off looking like someone is paying attention.
