David’s Lawn & Home Care

About David’s Lawn & Home Care

Many summer mornings in Proctorville begin with fog lifting off the Ohio River, the cables of the East End Bridge appearing out of the white and Huntington sharpening into view on the West Virginia shore. David's Lawn & Home Care works the yards on this side of the water, where long, humid river-valley summers push grass to grow fast and thick. August is the test: steady mowing, careful trimming along the fences and up the sloping edges, keeping a lawn from going shaggy in the heat. By mid-morning the haze has burned off, the hills behind town stand clear, and the yard has been brought back to a clean, close-cropped green. It is a fine thing to look out over a tidy lawn with the whole wide river beyond it.
