About Jenkins Family Enterprises LLC

Gravity runs the show in a January thaw-and-freeze, and Portsmouth has plenty of gravity — streets that climb straight off the river flats and glaze over the moment the temperature drops back through. Jenkins Family Enterprises LLC works against that all winter, plowing drives, cutting paths across parking lots, and salting the steep spots before anyone has to test them. Ice here does not announce itself; it arrives overnight in the river damp and sets up hard by four in the morning. Getting ahead of it means being out in the dark, headlights swinging across empty pavement, so the town can go to work on time. Clear blacktop at sunrise is a quiet thing, and it is the whole point.
