Frazier's Tree Service

About Frazier's Tree Service

Poland grew up around Yellow Creek and kept its old hardwoods, which is a gift and a responsibility in about equal measure. Frazier's Tree Service handles the responsibility end: the beech that lost half a crown to wet snow, the oak whose lower limbs have found the second-story windows. Pruning in these ravines means working sloped ground with rope and patience, letting each cut open a crown without stripping it. When wind comes up the creek and drops a limb across a Main Street driveway, the cleanup is done before the neighbors have finished trading stories about it. And when a tree truly has to go, it comes apart in measured pieces, until there is nothing left but light on the lawn and the smell of fresh sawdust.
