Y- Not Lawn Care

About Y- Not Lawn Care

Pleasant Plain is a handful of streets set down in rolling Warren County farmland, where the fields change color three times before Labor Day. Y- Not Lawn Care mows the village lots and country yards around it, trimming around trees, garden beds and porch steps, and sweeping the porch walk when the cut is finished. Summer mornings begin with fog in the low spots and open into long bright afternoons that are made for finishing a route. The good moment in the job is when the last strip closes and the whole yard reads as one even surface. Grass grows willingly in this ground; keeping up with it is the whole art.
