About Environmental Management Inc.

The Darby Plains still keep their scraps of tallgrass prairie, tucked into old cemetery corners the plow never reached, and after a storm they stand in white like something holding still. Environmental Management Inc. works the ordinary ground nearby, plowing lots and lanes around Plain City, opening walkways, spreading de-icer where the pitch sends meltwater. Restraint is part of it, enough treatment for footing and applied where it belongs rather than broadcast toward the ditches that drain to the creek. Getting down to pavement early is what keeps ice from ever setting up in the first place. By mid-morning the low sun finishes whatever is left.
