Eagles Tree Service

About Eagles Tree Service

The Great Miami runs past Piqua the way it always has, and beside it the old canal still holds water at the locks, willows and cottonwoods leaning over both. Eagles Tree Service works the town on that bank — pruning the maples along the brick streets downtown, trimming crowns away from porch roofs and alley wires, removing the river-bottom trees that finally give in to rot. A removal in a Miami County back yard is a matter of sequence: which limb first, where it lands, what stays untouched. Spring squalls cross the flat farmland west of town with real force, and after one has broken a crown, cleanup leaves the wood hauled and the grass raked clean. What lingers is the smell of cut wood on a warm evening and a street that looks like itself again.
