LADD & SON LAWN KEEPING

About LADD & SON LAWN KEEPING

Mid-August in Pike township is cicadas at full volume and heat standing still over the hayfields until well past six. LADD & SON LAWN KEEPING works right through it — mowing, trimming, edging and the ordinary week-to-week keeping that a lawn quietly demands from May until the leaves let go. Out here yards run up against pasture and treeline, so the work is as much about holding a clear border as it is about the cut itself. Two sets of hands make short work of a big property: one on the deck, one on the trimmer, and the place comes together in an hour. Cold water afterward, and a yard that looks like somebody meant it.
