About American Turf Care

Peninsula sits down in the Cuyahoga Valley where the river bends and the old canal towpath runs the length of the village, so grass here grows in the shade of a national park. American Turf Care knows what that means: cool damp mornings, ground that holds its water, lawns that want cutting on the day they are ready rather than the day on the calendar. The mowing is done with an eye to the slope falling off toward the river, the trimming kept tight along stone walls and porch steps, the clippings lifted off the walk so the whole yard looks finished. When October turns the valley and the leaves come down in earnest, the cleanups run until the beds are clean and the grass is bare. A well-kept lawn set against all that woods is a fine thing to come home to.
