About Harris Excavating & Industrial Maintenance

The glaciers stopped short of Adams County, which is why Peebles has hills at all — real ones, with hollows between them and Ohio Brush Creek cutting down through the limestone. Harris Excavating & Industrial Maintenance mows the lawns that sit on that uneven ground, the sloped front yards and the long side lots, keeping them even from the road clear back to the treeline. There is care in the trimming here, around foundation stone and fence posts and the mailbox at the end of a gravel drive. Late in summer, when the ridges go heavy and blue with haze, a freshly cut yard is the crispest thing for miles in any direction. Come autumn the leaf fall is enormous, and the cleanup work runs right up to the first hard frost.
