Snow Plowing

About Snow Plowing

The first flakes of a storm show up in the cone of a streetlight around midnight, small and dry and not yet serious about anything. Snow Plowing watches for exactly that, because a few hours later the drives along Pataskala's streets will need opening and the walks will need clearing before anyone steps outside. Plowing, shoveling and salting are the whole list, done as often as an Ohio winter repeats itself — and it repeats. Freeze, thaw, freeze again: the sheet of ice at the foot of a driveway at dawn is the part that gets the salt. Pataskala, Etna, Kirkersville and over toward Reynoldsburg.
