About A-1 Lawn Service LLC

The first mower of the morning is a Parma sound, out past the tree lawns before seven while the sprinklers are still ticking. A-1 Lawn Service LLC keeps that hour, working street by street through the neat post-war grid where every front yard sits square to the sidewalk. Mowing, trimming and edging are the plain work; the pleasure is in what gets left behind — a lawn combed even, clippings off the walk, the strip by the curb finished as carefully as the middle. Spring and fall bring the heavier jobs, cleanups that haul off winter's litter or November's last wet drift of leaves. By nine the truck is two streets over and the whole block smells like cut grass.
