About A&J's Landscaping and Design llc

Morning comes up off the Grand River in a low white sleeve of fog, and by the time it burns off the mowers are already running in Painesville Township. A&J's Landscaping and Design llc works the yards that slope down toward the water, where the grass grows fast and thick in the river's damp air. Mowing, trimming, edging, and the spring and fall cleanups that bracket the growing year — the work is plain and the result is not. There is a particular satisfaction in a lawn cut down to one clean height, its borders drawn sharp against the walk. On the drive back through the township the river keeps doing what it has always done, and the yards along it look like someone meant them.
