About Evan's Landscaping And Plowing

At four in the morning in February the township is blue and silent, and out at the lakefront the drifts have rearranged the parking lot again. Evan's Landscaping And Plowing is out in it — plowing driveways and lots, stacking the banks where they will not block a sightline, shoveling the walks down to bare concrete. Then comes the half of the job nobody sees: salt and ice control on the glaze that forms when a daytime thaw refreezes at dusk. Painesville Township winters run long and arrive in pieces, so a plow route is really a promise kept over and over. By sunrise the drives are open and the day can start on time.
