About CMC Tree Service & Contracting Inc.

The Grand River cuts a deep wooded gorge through Painesville on its way out to the lighthouse at Fairport, and the hemlocks and oaks on those banks have been holding the slope for generations. CMC Tree Service & Contracting Inc. works the town above it — the square's shade trees, the neighborhoods off Mentor Avenue, the ravine lots where a leaning maple hangs over a back deck. Trimming and pruning here are about clearance and structure; removals are about getting a big tree down a narrow side yard without leaving a mark on it. Lake-effect snow stacks up fast in Lake County, and when the weight cracks a limb over a driveway, storm damage cleanup happens before the plow comes back through. A cleared drive at first light is its own kind of reward.
