About Adams Outdoor Services

Oxford keeps two calendars — the one the farm ground keeps and the one the campus keeps — and Adams Outdoor Services works them both. Summer mornings, when the red brick uptown goes quiet, the mowers get out ahead of the heat and leave stripes running down lawns toward the creek bottoms east of town. Autumn drops a whole season of leaves at once along the shaded streets, and they come off before the rain can mat them into the grass. Then come the January mornings when Butler County wakes under three inches, and the plow has been through early enough that the first car down the drive never has to think about it. Salt goes where the shade holds, walks get opened to the step, and the same care carries out to the rolling ground toward Hueston Woods. A crisp edge in July, a clear path in January — same idea, different month.
