Frosty's Lawn & Snow Removal

About Frosty's Lawn & Snow Removal

On the stillest cold mornings the flat country around Ottawa township fills with fog, and by sunrise every fencerow weed and every wire is furred white with frost — land that was swamp once, drained into farm ground, still holding the damp enough to make a spectacle of a January dawn. Frosty's Lawn & Snow Removal is up ahead of that light, working through drives and walks while the world outside the headlights is grey and silver. Plowing, clearing, shoveling around steps and side doors, salting the glazed patches that a night like that leaves behind. Then the sun comes up pink over the fields, the frost starts letting go of the trees, and there is a cleared driveway sitting in the middle of it. That view is most of the reason to keep taking the early call.
