About Erie Coast Lawn Co.

Oregon lives with the lake. The wind comes off Maumee Bay in the afternoon and leans on everything — the cattails out in the marsh, the cottonwoods, the grass in a front yard three miles inland. Erie Coast Lawn Co. mows into that wind all summer, edging drives and walks, trimming fence lines and foundations, and cleaning properties up in spring and again when the season closes. Evening is the payoff here: the air off the water cools fast, the light goes long and low across a freshly cut lawn, and the stripes hold their shape all the way out to the border. Between the bay and the old swamp forest this is a green place, and keeping a yard part of that is the whole job.
