About Schill Grounds Management

Snow in Oakwood Village arrives on a wind that has picked up all it can carry crossing Lake Erie, and it usually turns serious somewhere around two in the morning. Schill Grounds Management works that hour, plows out on the lots and drives while the village is dark and Tinkers Creek runs black through the Bedford woods nearby. The measure of a night is simple: pavement down to black, piles pushed where they will not block a sightline, walks and entries opened, salt laid before the melt can freeze back. By the time the first cars turn in, the storm looks like something that happened to somebody else. That is the whole ambition — a place that opens on time, whatever fell overnight.
