About Johnson's Landscaping

April in North Royalton smells like wet mulch and cold creek water, with Chippewa Creek running hard off the east side of the ridge and every bed in town waiting to be opened up. Johnson's Landscaping spends that month cutting fresh edges, laying mulch dark against new green, and setting plants while the ground is still soft enough to be generous. Through summer it is mowing and trimming on a steady rotation; through fall it is leaves, endlessly, until the lawns are bare and ready. Then the year turns and the same driveways get plowed and salted before daylight. Watching a property come back around to April again is the closest thing this work has to a reward.
