About Schill Grounds Management

Three in the morning in North Ridgeville, and the wind comes off Lake Erie with nothing to slow it down — no hills between the water and here, only flat Lorain County ground and the long straight run of Lorain Road. That is the hour this snow removal work belongs to: headlights and amber strobes crossing empty lots while the town sleeps. Blades drop, the piles go to the corners, salt goes down in a clean arc. By the time the first cars turn toward the 480 ramps, the pavement is black and open and gives away nothing about the night behind it. North Ridgeville wakes, finds its parking spaces where it left them, and gets on with the day.
