Verdin lawns

About Verdin lawns

Out toward Round Bottom Road the evening light goes gold across the river flats, the cicadas start up in the trees, and Newtown settles into that long Ohio Valley dusk. Verdin lawns mows into it, working the last few properties of the day with the stripes running straight and the smell of cut grass carrying down the block. Trimming and edging finish each yard along the walk and the drive. Cleanups in spring and fall keep things from ever getting away from anybody. A lawn cut at the end of a summer day, with the trail traffic rolling past, looks like the whole reason for having a yard.
