Oaks are the last to let go around Newark — long after the maples out toward Granville have gone bare, they hold their brown leaves into December and drop them a handful at a time. Triple Oaks works under that sort of canopy: mowing shade-thinned turf without scalping it, trimming around trunks and surface roots a mower has to respect, edging beds so the mulch quits migrating into the grass. Spring is the turn everybody waits for — that first cut on a lawn come up thick from a wet March, the whole yard suddenly awake. Fall is the long tail of it, leaf after leaf, cleanup after cleanup, until the ground is clear enough to freeze honestly. Trees make a yard beautiful and complicated; the work is keeping both of those true.
