Lyn Urfer's Tree Service

About Lyn Urfer's Tree Service

Winter mornings east of New Philadelphia come up frosted and silent, ridge farms white to the fence posts, bare walnut and hickory standing out black against the hills. Lyn Urfer's Tree Service likes that season for the honesty of it — no leaves to hide a split union, a crown's whole architecture there to be read. The work is pruning that respects a tree's own shape, trimming clearance over roofs and lanes, and removals brought down section by section where a full drop would take a fence with it. Ice is this county's specialty, and when it leaves a limb hung over a doorway, storm damage cleanup gets it down and gets the driveway open. Come spring the trees left standing look like nobody touched them, which is exactly the intention.
