Dakota's Tree Service

About Dakota's Tree Service

By late October the hills between New Philadelphia and Dover turn the color of a struck match, and the old canal towpath fills with leaves ankle-deep. Dakota's Tree Service spends that season up in the crowns: pruning deadwood out of the big oaks in the neighborhoods around Tuscora Park, trimming limbs that have grown into eaves and service lines, taking down the ash the borers finished off. Every removal gets planned from the ground first — where it leans, where it goes, what it must not touch. Tuscarawas County storms come in hard out of the west, and afterward the cleanup runs to clearing drives, chipping brush and raking until grass shows again. There is a plain pleasure in leaving a place tidier than the storm found it.
