Decap's Lawn Care

About Decap's Lawn Care

Turkeyfoot Lake turns gold about eight o'clock on a June evening, and the smell of fresh-cut grass drifts down the yards toward the water. Decap's Lawn Care makes that smell — mowing, string-trimming and edging all season, with cleanups at either end of the year. Around the Portage Lakes the lots are odd shapes, cut up by seawalls, docks and old cottage lanes, and none of it mows itself in neat rectangles. Working around that is the craft: even passes, no scalped corners, clippings blown off the walk before the truck pulls away. A yard that reads as cared-for is a small and steady kind of pride.
