About Buckeye GroundWorks

The old National Road comes over the hills into New Concord and the whole village arranges itself along it, houses set back with their lawns running down to the walk. Buckeye GroundWorks keeps those lawns on a seven-day rhythm — mowing, trimming to the fence and the foundation, edging the walks straight, mulch in the beds once spring opens up. Fall in this part of Muskingum County is loud with leaves, and the leaf work runs until the hills are bare. Cleanups bracket the year at both ends, one to open it and one to close it. Ordinary work done on purpose, and a whole street of it looks like something.
