About Napoleon Excavating Llc.

Dawn comes late along the Maumee in January, and the river valley hands Napoleon township its weather early — a gray sky, then a sky full of moving white. Napoleon Excavating Llc. works the hours before that light, running plow routes across Henry County drives and lots while the fields on either side are still one unbroken sheet. Out here the ground is flat enough that wind does half the snow's work, packing it hard against garage doors and fence lines. There is real satisfaction in a driveway opened down to the pavement, the banks squared off, the path to the door wide enough to carry groceries through. By the time headlights start moving on the roads into town, the night's work is behind them, quiet and done.
